Brown Sugar: helps to balance the soy sauce and vinegar and will also caramelize the salmon
Garlic and Ginger: classic teriyaki flavors
Black Pepper: adds a little spice
Cornstarch: helps to thicken up the teriyaki sauce
🔪 How to Make Teriyaki Salmon Bites
1. Make Marinade: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, minced garlic, minced ginger, black pepper, and cornstarch.
2. Cut Salmon: Pat salmon dry with a paper towel. Cut the skin off the filet, then cut the salmon into 2-inch cubes.
3. Marinate Salmon: Place the salmon in a small bowl with ½ of the marinade. Gently toss until the salmon is coated in the marinated. Let sit for 10 to 15 minutes.
4. Cook Salmon: Pre-heat your air fryer to 400F. Place the marinated salmon in the air fryer basket, leaving space in between each piece. Cook for 6-8 minutes or until the edges of each cube start to brown.
5. Make Teriyaki Sauce: While the salmon is cooking, add your remaining marinade to a small skillet over medium heat. Stir occasionally. Cook for 5 minutes or until it starts to thicken. Then remove it from the heat.
6. Make Bowls: To assemble the bowls, add 1 cup of rice, ½ cup of broccoli, and ¼ of the salmon bites. Top the salmon with teriyaki sauce, sliced green onions, and sesame seeds.

🥗 What to eat with your Salmon Bites
- Add them to a bowl of rice with veggies.
- Throw them in a wrap with sticks of carrots, zucchini, peppers, and scallions.
- Toss them into a salad. There are a ton of teriyaki salad kits you can add the salmon too.
👩🍳Tips & Tricks
- Make sure you use low-sodium soy sauce. If you use regular soy sauce, the salmon will be way too salty.
- Every air fryer is different. Cook times will vary. Check the salmon every few minutes the first time you make this. You'll want the salmon to be a little darker around the edges, but pull the bites out before they burn.
