Pineapple- Fresh pineapple will give you the best flavor and a more vibrant salsa. If fresh pineapple is unavailable, canned pineapple can be used. To pick the best pineapple, look for one that smells sweet at the base, is green and yellow, and has a slight give when pressed.
Mango- To pick the best mango, look for one with a slight give when pressed. If you’re unsure how to cut a mango, check out this video.
Bell Pepper - Red bell peppers add a bright pop of color to your salsa. You can also use yellow or orange bell peppers.
Onion- Red onions offer a vibrant color and a mild flavor. White or sweet onions can be used as alternatives.
Cilantro- If you're not a fan of cilantro, you can omit it.
Jalapeño- Adds a bit of heat to the salsa. Since we removed the seeds, the salsa has a very mild spice level. Keep some seeds for more spice.
Salt- Enhances all the flavors. Use as needed.
