Ingredients & Substitutions
Bacon- This dip is loaded with bacon, and the bacon is sure easy to cook in the oven.
Cream Cheese- Let your cream cheese soften before you mix the dip together so it’s easier to combine. You can also cut it into cubes and microwave it for 10-20 seconds to soften it. Use full-fat cream cheese so the dip doesn’t split.
Cheddar Cheese- Gives you that classic jalapeno popper flavor. You can also use Monterey Jack, Pepper Jack, or Colby cheese for a different twist.
Sour Cream- Helps to make the dip creamy. Use full-fat sour cream so the dip doesn’t split.
Fresh Jalapenos- Remove the seeds so the dip isn’t super spicy. You will need 2-3 jalapenos.
Green Onions- Add a fresh, mild onion flavor. Use half in the dip and half as a topping. If you don’t like onions, omit the ingredient altogether.
