How to Make Chili Lime Shrimp
Step 1 | Cook Shrimp
Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat, then add the shrimp and sauté for 4–5 minutes until pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp and discard any liquid left in the pan.
Step 2 | Make Chili Lime Glaze
In the same skillet, add lime juice, honey, spices, and salt. Cook over medium-high heat for 2 minutes until the sauce thickens into a syrup.
Step 3 | Add Shrimp
Add the shrimp back to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Cook for 1–2 minutes until heated through and evenly glazed.
Tips
Tip 1: If using frozen shrimp, place them in a colander and run cold water over them for about 5 minutes, tossing occasionally until fully thawed.
Tip 2: Make sure the chili lime glaze is thick before you add the shrimp back in. The shrimp will release some more liquid, thinning the sauce a little more.
