Whether you forgot to buy taco seasoning at the store or you are looking to make a taco seasoning with less sodium, this homemade low-sodium taco seasoning will help you control your sodium intake without sacrificing any flavor.

This DIY taco seasoning is called low-sodium taco seasoning and not no sodium taco seasoning because chili powder does have some sodium in it.
Chili powder found in the United States is a mix of ground-dried chiles, cayenne pepper, cumin, garlic powder, paprika, oregano, onion powder, and salt.
However, the amount of salt that is in it is very small. In some brands, it’s about 10 mg of sodium for every ¼ tsp.
