The 4 Ingredients You Need
Sour Cream & Mayonaise - These two condiments make the bases of the ranch dressing. You can use light sour cream and light mayo for a healthier sauce.
Ranch Dip Mix - You don't need the whole packet of ranch mix. I used 2 tablespoons in this recipe, which gives the dressing a strong ranch flavor.
Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce - You can find canned chipotle peppers in the same aisles as the tortillas, salsa, and other Mexican ingredients. One pepper will give the ranch a little kick, and two will make it a little spicier. Start with one and adjust your spice level from there.
How to Make Southwest Chipotle Ranch Dressing
Step 1: Add ingredients into a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
Step 2: If it's too thick, add a tablespoon of water to the dressing until you get your desired consistency.
How to Make Chipotle Ranch Dip
If you want to make Chipotle Ranch Dip for vegetables or tortilla chips, exclude the water when blending. Then add in 1 teaspoon at a time until you get the consistency you want.
