Ingredients
1 ½cupall-purpose flour
½tablespoonbaking powder
¼teaspoonsalt
1PoundPork Sausage
2cupsSharp Cheddar CheeseGrated
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Mix flour, baking powder and salt together in a large bowl.
Add sausage and cheese
Mix all ingredients with your hands until just blended. If the dough seems too dry and the flour isn’t mixing in well, let it rest for 5 minutes and try mixing again.*
Shape into 30-36 (1-inch) balls.
Place on a large non stick or parchemnt lined baking sheet.
Bake for 13-16 minutes or until golden brown and the internal temperature of 160°F.
Notes
*If it seems like no more flour will mix into the sausage, let the sausage rest for 5 minutes and mix again. This allows the flour to absorb some of the moisture from the sausage, making it easier to combine. If there is still a little bit of flour left in the bowl ( ¼ cup or less), don't worry about it. Move on to roll your sausage ball mixture.
